| [Windsor] Cogeco now working with Cable resellers?
I attended the Windsor Tech Expo these past couple of days. There was a massive Kelcom Pavilion, where a number of Kelcom's divisions had their own booths. One of the booths was a new Kelcom entity that was advertising cable-based internet and VOIP service.
The person in the booth indicated that starting this week, they were reselling Cogeco's cable offering, for cheaper than the prices offered by Cogeco directly!
Is this for real? Has anyone else heard of Cogeco working through resellers in other markets? |

| reply to jeisenberg Kelcom has it listed on their site.
Last time I had Kelcom for DSL service and cancelled, they accused us here of not returning the modem and threatened to have a collection agency sent.
This was back in 2004.
Good service nevertheless. Their routing was better than Sympatico's, but the speed was still limited by the distance.
Cogeco is still cheaper even if you have Analogue or Digital Cable. However, if have Satellite... |

| said by urbanriot :What about caps? Exactly. The fact that their caps are identical to Cogeco's makes me wonder if Cogeco either forces resellers to have identical (or more restrictive) bandwidth policies, or if Cogeco unconditionally blacklists a modem at the network level regardless of whether or not they're with a third-party ISP or not. -- I swear that I will faithfully and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada and fulfil my duties as a Canadian citizen. |
