| Its Official FIOS TV SPORT COVERAGE is horrible
I live in the Pittsburgh are, and the Pittsburgh Pens are doing awesome in the playoffs. I gave FIOS a break on not having FSNHD during the first series...but now that the game is going to be on VERSUS tonight and we again do not have VERSUS HD I am starting to get a bit upset. FIOS TV is by far the worst cable company when it comes to sports HD programming locally. Comcast, Armstrong, DirectTV and Dish all have/carry the game in HD. FIOS should be doing that same as well. Had I known prior to the install...I most likely would have waited until the playoffs were over to have FIOS installed. I was expecting (and was told by install tech) that we would have 30 additional HD channels by now...and guess what...they all miss-led us and we did not get those channels. FIOS you have to catch up. Two years of this will be unacceptable. At least Standard Definition channels are much much better..that is the only saving grace I can find. (internet and phone are both top notch and I would not trade either for anything at all) |

| Same prblem here in Philly. The next 2 gammes against Montreal (Saturday and Monday night) are on VS and not Comcast Sportsnet. All the games carried on Comcast are available on the HD version, but no VS HD  . Guess I'll have to wait for game 4 on Wednesday for HD viewing.

I agree... they should be making a better effort to get the playoffs in HD. Was it baseball last season that had SD playoffs?
There are a couple useless HD channels that could easily be changed over to VS HD. |

| Some of the early baseball playoff games were on TBS, so SD.
Moving from Comcast I did add ESPNU and ESPN Classic on Verizon.
On Comcast I'd be getting Versus-HD, CBS College Sports, NHL Network, NBATV. Not to mention the option of Extra Innings, Center Ice, etc. |

Seriously, though, Verizon is notorious for not following through on promises. I'd probably stick it to them with their 2-yr agreement. I'd want a letter stating I can back out of the contract if they don't deliver the HD channels as promised. Otherwise, they're doing a bait and switch to sign you up and that should be illegal. |

Ok Its also official. I was at my inlaws today and noticed their TBS channel...OMG I so made the right decision to move to FIOS. What a difference in PQ on FIOS. No HD on Local sports is such a small thing to give up for a Better I mean outstanding Picture. |

Ok Watching a Hockey Game on NBC does show how much different it is watching HOCKEY in HD. Man the VERSUS games are going to stink!

At least we agree on the HD. That was awesome. The VS games are definitely going to stink. I'm sure we'll get VS HD for the start of next season. In the meantime, we're stuck with SD. |

Let's just hope that when Verizon adds Versus/Golf HD that they do not put in the premium package because of the golf. I can live through a few games in SD this year.... thankfully Comcast Sportsnet is broadcasting the out of town Flyers games in HD this round. Wish they could do it all year. Hockey in HD is SOOO much better than SD. |

If or when Verizon adds Versus/The Golf Channel HD to FiOS TV, they are going to have to decide whether or not it will be part of the Premier or Sports package. If Verizon decides to place it in the Premier package, they might have to move The Golf Channel SD out of the Sports package and into the Premier package. However, if Verizon chooses to place it in their Sports package, they might make Versus SD a part of their Sports package as well which would upset a lot of hockey fans. This might explain why Verizon has not added Versus/The Golf Channel HD to the FiOS TV lineup in the first place. |

The officiating has been a joke in this series. he lost sight of the puck, so he blew the whistle.....thats what theyre supposed to do, and all of the announcers said that it was a good call.....dont be a sore loser. |

The officiating has been horrible. I wonder if Don Van MassiveCheatin' was doing last night's game. The war room is no better. Look at the goal Montreal scored in game 2, where it was batted out of the air with a high stick, and after contact, the stick came DOWN on the crossbar.
