| reply to hitachi369 Many places do not accept money orders for payment- because of the high incidence of theft and counterfeiting. Its a sorry day when the currency of the country isn't even accepted as payment or they have the audacity to charge you to accept cash for payment of a bill. The more I read about the antics of AT&T and other companies of this ilk the more I despise their sorry-ass business models. Hopefully, the American public will cut the revenue flow to these cancerous chancres the better. The management of AT&T and/or Comcast are slimy cretins without a soul or a heart. The Feds were right in busting AT&Ts butt before and its high time they do it again. the same goes for Comcast. |

More specifically, US paper currency still includes the statement "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private." |

They would be well within there rights not even to take payment in person or in over the phone.
They should just allow only internet or mail payments. |

| So in the name of technology we revert to a nation where the currency of the nation is not accepted. Now thats what I call real progress- only took the united State a little over 220 years years to revert to the econmic condititons prior to 1776. Technology is not/cannot become the ruler of our lives or we lose our humanity. What is really old btw for you 30 years old??? |

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE STEREOTYPE?
We asked a random sample of 100 adult men, ages 25-75, what their favorite stereotype was, and here's the results:
1. Ghetto Crack Whore on Welfare 2. Illegal alien avoiding the INS through paying cash for everything to stay off the grid 3. Really old, annoying, self proclaimed "retired" persons 4. Flannel shirt wearing coffee house misanthropes 5. Fox News believers |

While I don't personally pay amounts over a few dollars with cash, I certainly respect the right to do so.
A common line of thinking is "if you aren't doing anything wrong, what are you worried about?" The problem with that thinking is just who's definition of wrong are we talking about? Is "wrong" strictly limited to what the laws say?
Officially, yes. In practice? I wouldn't count on it. |
