[general] wildblue in se missouri

I am in southeast missouri - near 63767. Closest thing to high speed near me is cable one half mile away (they want $10,000)(no kidding) to bring it to me. ANYWAY I have been looking at the two satellite options and reading posts on forums to try and help make up my mind. My question is this, Wild blue had stopped installs in my area for a time but are now installing again so does this mean the beam is overcrowded/slow or is it a new beam? Any posters on forum from around here with local advice? thanks...

Several months ago there were many complaints about slow speeds during prime time on beam 115 which covers your area, but there have not been any complaints recently. WB may have upgraded the Laredo gateway to fix the problem and then opened the beam to new customers to pack on even more customers.

Both DirecWay and WB are reported to have slow speeds during prime time on popular beams.

Can you get EVDO from a cellular phone system? If you are within a coverage area, EVDO would probably blow away satellite based Internet access.
