Re: [general] wildblue in se missouri Several months ago there were many complaints about slow speeds during prime time on beam 115 which covers your area, but there have not been any complaints recently. WB may have upgraded the Laredo gateway to fix the problem and then opened the beam to new customers to pack on even more customers.
Both DirecWay and WB are reported to have slow speeds during prime time on popular beams.
Can you get EVDO from a cellular phone system? If you are within a coverage area, EVDO would probably blow away satellite based Internet access.
