Griffith Observatory
I have lived in So. Cal nearly all my life and I just got around to visiting Griffith Observatory (as far as I remember). We took the trip Thursday and now I wish I had seen it before the renovation. The Telescope is impressive considering when it was made and the planetarium show was out of this world (pun intended) . Unfortunately we did not get into the dome before dark to get any pictures of the telescope..

Those are gorgeous shots. I keep meaning to go up there, but never seem to get around to it.

These really are great. You even had a clear night over the valley.

I may need to make a trip south again, just for this!

Your shots are out of this world, too! Great job and thanks for letting us in other parts of the world have a look.

I expect to see James Dean pull up in his Merc and Natalie Wood and Sal Mineo get out!

Natalie Wood would be enough to get me to go.

I've never been there either, but you got some really sharp, detailed shots of what I have been missing.

Thanks all,
I was quite surprised at how the images came out. Next time I will have to bring a tripod so I don't need to use a hand rail or a traffic cone to help stabilize the camera. It has been in a number of movies but only one portrayed it for what it was. This may be the reason for the James Dean statue.
