I would have thought it was approved by Engineering for production or for upgrade of previously produced items.<br><br>So it doesn't surprise me they have used it new build devices and the released it as an update after a period to unsure it is stable.]]></description>

Only 802.11a works on the 5Ghz channel.  It's to late now to call linksys but I will certainly be on the phone tomorrow.]]></description>

I have spoken (more like argued) with Linksys regarding some of the problems, some as simple as Logging.  I have not gotten them to ever admit there is a problem.  I posted a couple of messages on their forum and Linksys edited my messages and removed anything that said there was anything wrong with their products...  I can't believe Linksys does not even support what I think is their most expensive router.]]></description>
