I appreciate the advice. I will see if my company will let me expense a new phone... this Blackjack is killin' me! I'd say about 50% of calls that go over 4 minutes are dropped, which is quite often since I troubleshoot support issues over the phone to see if I can solve it before I walk my ass over. I think I may start logging the number of dropped calls. |

1 edit | reply to mobbo That's why I went with Blackberry 8830. It is the ONLY converged device I ever had that actually would not lock up as you described. Palms and Win Mobiles seem to have issues when it comes to balancing the load when using wireless sync email, cal, contacts and incoming or outgoing calls. I had about 25% lock ups on those platforms.
The problem with Blackberry, was you had to invest $3000 in their Enterprise Blackberry software (supports 1000 users). Not any more! They now have a free download of the server that comes with 1 user license. Additional licenses are like $10. I have been using my 8830 for a month and have had NO lockups! I have factory bluetooth handsfree in my car and added a bluetooth stereo adapter to my car. I can talk and play music wirelessly! Who needs an iphone? Not to bash it - I think the iphone is cool. However, if it has lock ups - it is useless for me. Any actual users (no fanboys allowed) who have real experience using enterprise syncing? Are there lockups with iPhone?? |
