Re: WImax Unplugged - Rogers vs Bell - Seasonal Disconnect

the wimax service is being put up by rogers and bell together, so if its offered through one company it will be available with the other. you can be with bell but be connected to a rogers tower, just depends who setup the tower you are one

Understood. What I'm looking for is any experience in shutting one down when the cottage is closed from October through May.

·Cogeco Cable
·Cogeco Voip
·Rogers Hi-Speed
·Rogers Portable In..
·Bell Sympatico

Then you suspend your expressvu its 10$ seasonal disconnect charge and that covers up to 6 months. If you are going through the sympatico unplugged and you are financing for the modem charge then you would pay the modem charge plus the 10$ each month you are on suspension.

That is true, but if you are also Renting To Own the modem from bell then you would have to pay that fee plus the 10$ per month. However if you purchased the modem for a one time fee then it should just be the fee you were quoted.

Well, finally got emails from both Rogers and Bell so that I have a paper trail.

Rogers charges $3.95/mth to suspend their service which Bell's charge is $10.00/mth.

Rogers basic service is $27.95/mth while Bell's lowest charge is $35/mth in a bundle otherwise $40/mth.

as well as rogers is no contract, and bell's would have to be a 2yr term to get the bundle discount.
