I think your attenuation actually drops because the modem is restricted from using/testing the higher frequencies. We haven't seen anything quite like that attenuation drop before either.

Rather than call tech support, why don't you post a Trouble thread in AT&T Direct: »/forum/sbcdirect . They can check your stats and tone bins remotely.
g0t_rice91 : Well it's been a LONG time since I last posted here with a problem. I think it was 2 years ago where I came here with line issues with alot of noise and losing sync. Finally after installing a new NID 2 months of technicians coming to my house, and installing a POT splitter, the problem was finally resolved after cutting a bridge tap

Well anywho, when I finally had the problem resolved, AT&T gave me 3 months free, and upgraded our plan to the PRO package. Although I had a little high attenuation, the pro packaged worked flawlessly for 2 years. Lately I'm starting to lose sync again and lowered speed.

I have a Speedstream 4100, and the modem itself does the PPoE connection. I did a direct connection to the NID, and the outcome was the same as inside the house. Still, I replaced all the wires outside, and still no help.
