From what limited TV-watching I've done recently, I noticed that some SD channels seemed much better-rendered.  Meaning: The picture wasn't washed out, and I couldn't see jagged edges when changing channels.  There must be a new algorythm in use that modulates & demodulates the channel.   <br><br>One channel, forget which one, was so relatively sharp, that I had to check to make sure that I wasn't up in the 800's on an HD channel.  <br><br>Has anyone noticed increased picture SD picture quality after the guide update?  The TV I'm using is a 42" LCD (1080i) attached to the STB via HDMI cable.]]></description>

But even before, when I did get the "FIOS Starting ..." screen, my recordings would still start to record all on their own. Even the series recordings, not just the manual ones. <br><br>This new update has really sped up my VOD response times though. Now, I'm actually using VOD. Before it was so tedious, I had to be pretty desperate to use it.]]></description>

I find it funny I checked the messages last night on the boxes and there was none, this morning after the IMG update there is a message on there talking about how the box may reboot several times during the update -- that would be a good thing to know before the update actually happened.<br><br>At any rate, all 4 of my boxes seem to have survived the patch.]]></description>
