I run "Express" on a little W2k desktop system. Haven't logged onto
the web interface in perhaps a year or longer.
I'm getting to much spam, need to check my settings on the server, etc.
I tried to find a viable web interface to SBC DSL service. Thought I
had one (after wasting much time) but it wouldn't log me on.
Where can I find the web interface for SBC DSL services? They have
mucked about so much with web sites I can't find anything.
I run nooooooooooooo SBC or Yahoo software on my desktop.
Any help?

mutant garbage-hype.

Wait! I actually found the SpamGuard setting that was
marking my valid mail as spam.
Anybody know where I can find a non-mutant ISP?

Round Rock, TX | I have a mail account at 1&1 that I use instead of the SBC account. The email only option is $0.99/month (I think). Sure beats trying to figure out what AT&T/Yahoo is doing these days. |

Who is "they"? AT&T has done nothing more than outsource email to Yahoo! (handles the POP3 mailbox and message submission servers).
The Yahoo! POP3 servers are as they have always been.

"They" (ATT) have polluted their web sites with so much hideous, idiot garbage-hype that I (and likely lots of folks) can't find anything there save marketing-trash.
And I'm muy mucho sick of it. It is "Customer-Abuse". :-(

And AT&T provides you with DSL service. You get TCP/IP transport to the Internet, and you get a public IP address from their IP address pool. That is what they have decided they will provide. I don't see it, for the most part; the hideous marketing hype. I hit the web mail pages about once a week to look for false positives (goodmail in the Bulk folder). Other than that, I don't use Yahoo! for search, or portal services. I have only one GeoCities PWP. I tried that, just to see how it was. I don't care for it.
I am able to avoid Yahoo! for the most part (can't help having to user their POP3 servers, but they aren't putting ads in the email there; yet).
Other than that, all the places I go are bookmarked. I don't even use Google for search; there are alternatives to everything.
And I'm muy mucho sick of it. It is "Customer-Abuse". :-(
Only if you think you have to use Yahoo! because AT&T has a contract with them. And you might as well get used to it. All of the larger ISPs are outsourcing at least some components of their services. Even Comcast. At least AT&T has not joined the rush to the DNS redirection services.

Not certain you understand: I've avoided Yahoo and its ilk like the Black Plague for years.
I think ATT has an obligation to its paying customers to make relevant info available to them, and not to hide it under direction of Garbage-Marketers.

It's a package. The ads say you get DSL, mailboxes, etc. I pay "ATT": they are responsible for "service". If ATT sources services that I pay ATT for to derelicts, then I color ATT derelict. Simple as that.
