It is through my apartment complex, therefore they do not bill me directly.

dvd536
I don't think they know my name, as I live with roommates and the connection is shared between a few units. No letter that I know of..unless my roommates just threw it away.

I was being nice by setting a slowdown percentage in SABnzbd...i guess they didn't think that was being nice...oh well.

I thought about calling them and telling them it was just linux downloading or a school project, but i doubt they would care. I kept my computer at my friends to finish downloading. Is this a common practice? Will my friend get screwed?

I noticed yesterday that my connection was going at 1KB/s. I no longer can keep a reliable connection to my newsserver. I also tried another computer - to no avail.
Yesterday I brought my computer over to my friends house. My downloads now connect at over 1MB/s. I am very confident my ISP is blocking my connection. Is this probable? Legal? Has anyone else had this issue?
