Just for other folks, I'd suggest the D-Link DGL-4300.
It's a wireless super G router with 4 ethernet ports.
It's had great reviews across the board, been probably 1 of 2 pieces of equipment in my network that's never failed or given me a headache. The UI is clean and simple.
The wireless range is really great, I can get signal out to a road 365 ft. out front of my home and the antenna is in a normal position. So figure a 365 ft. omnidirectional range.
Works great for gaming, but I still ran all cable to all my systems.
You can find the routers on eBay somewhat cheap, plus there's a Yahoo retailer that has sales once in a while - you can get it for about $90. |
