 Afternoon Speed Issues In Windsor

Speeds have been fluctuating from 2500 to 3500 when I usually run about 5000 on elite. Upstream speed tests fine.

I rebooted, etc.

Anyone else seeing problems?

@snet.net

I'm having them two, here in New Milford, for the past couple of weeks.

The wife can't watch her videos on mysoju.com, as they have started taking too long to buffer and have constant interruptions to rebuffer on her PC.

I can't seem to watch ANY videos on Vimeo.com because it takes 35-50 minutes to buffer a typical video that is 4-5 minutes long on my PC either.

Speeds tests at Speakeasy.net show about half the advertized speed, about 1536kbps downstream.

A year or so ago, this happened, and somehow, I managed to get in contact with a technician at AT&T who knew the system very well. He said that one of their routers needed to be rebooted, and he used the analogy of an air filter that needed cleaning--he said it was clogged up with bad data. My impression was, that was rather layman explanation, but okay, let's try it. So he rebooted it and my speeds came back to normal for another year.

I think it's getting time to find that tech again so he can reboot some of the routers.
