Cant say Ive ever experienced anything like that, and Ive dealt with hundreds of 870 series routers over the past two years. I have had to have a power supply replaced in the past though, but it was completely dead and would never turn on. Pretty good run so far.

I'd see if you can get the power supply replaced as it sounds more likely to be the culprit.

Yeah, I have a TAC case open. I will jump through those hoops since it is under warranty through my SmartNet contract. I'll post here their results and solution in case there is a greater issue then just a PS going bad.
