Go to your main Telephone box (called NID (Network Interface Device)) which is usually located outside or in basement.

2. Disconnect the main Telco line coming into that box.

3. Connect Vonage adapter into any phone jack in the house.

That's it. Configure Vonage per the instructions.

For instructions on how to disconnect the main Telco line, please open the 'customer side' of the NID and post a picture of it.

**Some older homes don't have a NID. If that's the case, the steps will be slightly different. Post of pic of that if you need to as well.

Make sure the cable from the telephone company is disconnected from the house telephone lines. There is normally a box located on an outside wall of the house where this line connects to the inside wiring - disconnect the line from the telco. Once that is done connect the active line from the PhoneAdapter to a phone wall outlet.
