Hawaiian Telcom Seeking Universal Service Fund Support

First it was Sandwich Isles that is receiving Universal Service Fund support to build their all fiber-optic network serving DHHL lands.

Now I recently found out that Hawaiian Telcom has petitioned the FCC for Universal Service Fund support also. If you read the documents I linked to, it will reveal a troubling financial picture Hawaiian Telcom is currently in.
