djdanska : My provider charges $20 per line so i guess $60 isn't soo far off. (or you can cheat the system with the $5.99 data plan if you know how to use the proxy settings. LoL..) But at&t's data pricing is kinda high. You should have looked at the prices before getting a device that uses data.

If you really want to see if there is anything you can do, check with this forum. I can recall using GPRS on T-Mobile a couple years ago for free. I think the $30 includes tethering, and was intended for more of a cellular power user, which is not me!

I'd be willing to pay $30 for both lines together, but that much for each phone is ridiculous.
--
Only through the criticizing of others can we learn to love ourselves.

JPuppy : I just upgraded mine and my wife's phones to some refurbished Treo 680s. I was planning on adding a data plan to the phones so they could be used to check email and use IM. Yesterday I discovered that the cost for the PDA data plan is $30 per month per phone. That's outrageous!

Is this really the only method of getting online with a Treo? $60/month is rape when all we want is email connectivity. Any thoughts/suggestions would be welcomed!
--
Only through the criticizing of others can we learn to love ourselves.
