Dlink DIR 655 connecting to Network Printer

Anyone ever connect to Network printer using this? Somehow I am unable to connect to a network printer [not printershare] in XP Pro or vista. Using other routers had no problem. But using the Dlink DIR 655, I connected the Printer [wired] and using Add Wizard did not show TCP/IP of Printer. Any suggestions? Thanks

If you are using TCP/IP, and not Windows sharing, Windows will not find the printer on its own. You either need to add a TCP/IP port manually, or use the network printer manufacturer's setup software.

I've had a network printer on my DIR-655 for the last year. No issues.

I have a Brother MFC-9440 printer hooked up to my DIR-655 and had to manually add the IP address that I assigned to it in the DIR-655. It works great.

HP Web Admin works great for HP network laser printers. You could use print server or BOOTP.

Or Dlink Wireless Print/Scanner Server Emulator below:

Did you try use the Network Magic that came with the router?
