Modem wont stay synched

For 2 years i have had great service with GWI now, modem wont stay synched, speed is trashed, support doesn't seem to be able to find the problem. Rewired a new wire to my modem from NID, good for 2 weeks then same old problem.

Have they sent anyone out to perform any tests at your NID? AKA, test the loop, and try to sync at the NID Sounds like that'd be the next step, if not already done. Could be a multitude of things, maybe even the modem... unless you've already covered that base

I tested at the NID was good there at the time. They claim its not the modem, they havent sent anyone out yet, i will be speaking with tier 2 support tomorrow, I am going to have them send a new modem to try that out, if I can talk them into it, they seem to be avoiding that for some reason.

Plug in at the NID. If you sync at the NID you can't pin the issue on the modem OR the wiring outside your house.

Check your phones for filters. Make sure everything that's connected has a filter except your modem. That includes Telephones, Fax Machines, DISH TV or Direct TV receivers, alarm systems, etc.

Make sure the telephone cord your using to connect your modem to the wall jack is less then 10 feet.
