I'm not gonna ask how much time you wasted finding the sites/pages to bookmark.
One might make the claim that thirty seconds of every day spent on the Internet is thirty seconds of time wasted. OTOH, one might also realize that one can search the Internet without going near Yahoo!, or even Google, and add interesting sites to their bookmarks. I've been online in one way, or another, since 1986. I've been surfing the Internet, proper, since mid-1999. I have accumulated a lot of URLs, some of which even still work, in the last eight years.
Not certain you understand: I've avoided Yahoo and its ilk like the Black Plague for years.
Then what is your beef?
I think ATT has an obligation to its paying customers to make relevant info available to them, and not to hide it under direction of Garbage-Marketers.

If you disagree with this position, that's your business (not mine).
Well, then we disagree. AFAIAC, I am paying for TCP/IP transport to the Internet. I will find my own content, thank you.

Or should I put more trust in AT&T content because they are my transport provider than, say, Google, MSN, or Yahoo!?

I started with Bitnet, but that has nothing to do with the issue here. I do not belong to "Zombie Nation".

Well, it sho'ly, sho'ly couldn't be with SlothWestern Bull.

It's a package. The ads say you get DSL, mailboxes, etc. I pay "ATT": they are responsible for "service". If ATT sources services that I pay ATT for to derelicts, then I color ATT derelict. Simple as that.

You are paying for mailboxes that you don't use? Why??

Jeez. I couldn't even find the logon to disable their mutant Spam-filter. Comprendere?

I am paying for TCP/IP transport to the Internet. I can't get that without their mailboxes; they don't sell their mailboxes "extra".

Surely they weren't that hard to find!
