Router or switch?

I have a Vigor 2930 connected to two ZyXel 2000 series switches, with 4 VLANs set up using the VLANs of the 2930 as the router link for each VLAN.

Every few minutes, the internet connection will drop, and during that time I can not access anything further than the switches - the router does not respond to a ping, nor to the http access, although the switches do to both.

After a few seconds, access is restored to both the router and the internet simultaneously.

Can you draw us a picture of how it's connected. There could be STP root elections happening.

The answer, for anyone who's interested, was router - disabling the VLAN feature on the Vigor set it right.

It seems to be a RAM / Processor issue on the Vigor. Stick with the higher-sped 29XX models.
