matcarl...
I did a few more tests and it does retain and execute some of the guide-scheduled recordings. I haven't been able to identify what circumstance allows them to be retained. That's why I added the (most) comment in my post above. I don't know if it's guide-scheduled recordings that were scheduled before the box was cycled OFF - ON - OFF with the remote PRIOR to a power failure or what.
The whole issue is still somewhat unreliable, since I haven't been able to duplicate the required operations with any certainty. But, I have had a couple guide-scheduled recordings work after a power failure (had a real one yesterday from ~9 AM to ~2 PM) and two recordings worked last night, without me having turned on the box after the power failure. -- Never raise your hands to your kids. | said by RadioBob :DVR no longer streams previous channel I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean buffering the previous channel? Try rebooting it. |

Rattler, I got an answer to this from the Direct forum
"matcarl,
Thank you for your patience. Our IMG team has found a resolution to this issue; however, it will be going out with the next update, release 1.6. Unfortunately, I do not have an ETA. I apologize for the delay in response and any inconvenience this may cause. Hopefully there won't be any power issues prior to the next update. Please let me know if you have any questions or further concerns." |
