Any decent DDR2 667 ram will run at 800 speed and with the 9 CPU multiplier of the Q6600 that is all you need to get up to 3600MHZ if not limited to CPU cooling.

Jord413 : My new q6600 processor and motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L Rev 2.0) arrived today. I'm going to be putting it together tomorrow but have a quick question. I'm currently running with 2 gigs of Crucial Ballistix DDR 2 667MHz ram. Is the ram going to hold me down in any respects to a basic overclock? I'm not looking to get to 3.0GHz+ or anything although I would like to bump it up to 2.66 or 2.8 if possible but was unsure if the speed of my ram will limit me in any way. I'd rather not have to buy new ram but I could if need be.
--
Beware of programmers who carry a screwdriver!
