GOOD NEWS!! Info on FIOS in WV!

My contact from VZ WV provided me with a little info..

- WV WILL be a part of the FIOS network in the future. They continue to work on getting it here, but there are really no new sites until current plans are done in 2010.

- FIOS for every household by 2014? To him, that is just speculation.

This is good news to know for everyone in our state. They are making plans for it, but it won't be until sometime after 2010 when we see it and the initial rollout is complete, so its just not a matter if we will ever get it, its just a matter of when? It will be interesting to see where they roll out their initial phases of the project.

Damn, it would be nice if we could fast forward time!!

Wasn't the remark "FiOs in every household by 2014" for just the NYC area?

my aunt works for verizon telephone and she had to go to virginia 2 months ago for a month to learn how to install fiber to people's homes, hook up their fios internet and tv. So it must be coming pretty soon hopefully if they sent all of their techs to virginia for training already!!!

Hopefully they will have it in the city areas (weirton, wheeling, morgantown, fairmont, clarksburg, parkersburg, charleston, beckley, huntington) by 2010!!!

I really, really wouldn't hold your breath.

I could see Verizon stopping FiOS deployment stone cold at 50% of their footprint if they don't think the money's there....
