this is exactly RivaTuner. without doing any research, or even DLing the app, it looks to be the overclocking and LCD display that exactly matches RiveTuner 2.0x. the temp and clockspeed monitors match RT exactly, and the G15 LCD matches it exactly as well.

great idea but i'll stick with RivaTuner which probably does more.

great app for beginners or those nvidia owners that want a really simple OC app.

Eah, test button can't work, I had to hard reboot my system, I sure am glad I didn't set it to start at bootup!

I'll stick with Rivatuner.

Here's a thread over at the EVGA forums, and Unwinder (Riva Tuner creator) is answering tech questions in the thread. This is nothing more than a very watered down version of Riva tuner, from the same guy (Unwinder)

cool my suspicions were confirmed. at least EVGA paid someone knowledgable to create their program, unlike other companies...

If the devs can add in fan RPM profiles that ramp up and down with temp changes, this tool will be perfecto.

i do it with RivaTuner. i upped the base fan speefd from 28% to 60% b/c i hear no audible difference b/w the 2. i also have it set to jump to 100% at 60 C, which is basically 20 mins of gaming on my 8800GT that i reseated with ASC.

I only use Riva for fan RPM profiles, and a little over clocking. If precision can add fan profiles, then that is all I would need to lose Riva.

Does anyone use Nvidia's nTune?

I used to use RivaTuner, until Nvidia finally started to build in overclocking into the advanced tool functions of their drivers, but now it seems you need to separately install nTune to do that.

used it initially with my 8800GT. didnt do 1/10 what i wanted it to do and for some reason it never saved clock speeds.

A new version was just released, and contains over clocking profiles that can be enabled and disabled via your keyboard. This can be done during game play as well.
