thanks for the info i already removed all flashplayer object from my pc as of today this pc will not be allow videos streaming flash advertisingor anyother flash allow app. i strarted using it because i was watching videos but after this drama issue no more videos or the stated above i do not trust or care to trust this company and it's software agian if i go to apage and the only way to view it is by using flash then i will not view the page and move on like i did years before i never allow it and had little trouble surfing. hen the fix their product to work honestly with users then i'll think about using it but till then noway. oh are you aware that those setting have to be sets at ever site you use that player so a user would find them selves constantly chasing this player around like a wild card on the loose! no they can keep this crapware i want no part of it.yet another item on the list not to use or install is what i have a lot of from windows. thanks agin |

Do not know who told you that but that is wrong unless you want different sites to use flash differently. I set it once and that is it.
Of course if one was to delete the settings.sol on their hard drive then the user would need to reset it.

I do have the flash plug-in and use the settings you've suggested in the Flash Settings Panel. Why would the file be missing?

At any rate, it's buried at 'Documents and Settings/[User]/Application Data/Macromedia/Flash Player/macromedia.com/support/flashplayer/sys'.
If it's not there, it will be re-created once a Flash video asks you about storing data on your hard drive, or you make a change at the settings site online. |

When you get the Flash request to store data on the hard drive, do you allow if you feel the site is safe?

As I mentioned in my post to Abie, the new CCleaner version still refuses to show Flash in the applications window (although it does show it as a removable program in Tools/Uninstall). I may have to add Flash to winapp2.ini which seems totally weird.

That prevents the annoyance of being asked at every video, and besides, I go to that 'sys' folder every week or two and clean 'em all out and start over.
Keeps me from getting that 'not-so-fresh' feeling. 
Flash is a POS-- but it's not such a POS that I feel it necessary to ban it from my computer. I like watching videos online.
It would be nice if sites could use some other format (and/or provide generally better quality), but they don't. Therefore . . . .
