Charlottesville pings are back

highpingsareback.txt 2,622 bytes
high ping tracerts
embarq please buy some more bandwidth for Charlottesville this is getting ludicrous

this is getting really annoying as i can no longer play games (i get kicked for having a high ping) when i get home from work

now all of your backbone are full and pings are degrading along with download speeds

i attached a file showing tracerts from the high pings

this happens from 4pm -> 12pm
it starts just like it did before in sept - January

below is a speedtest showing degraded speed

although the speeds really aren't degraded that much, the ping time is what i really care about and now i said my bit.

is anyone else experiencing this new wave of network congestion?

Yes. I'm seeing it too. Ping times to my server in Houston were 66ms this morning, and it's up to 130ms right now. I really hope we're not going to have a repeat of what happened in December... I don't have the patience for it again.

It's 7:08PM and it doesn't look like a bandwidth issue. I'm off the farthest remote south of Cville.

There was a Redback issue starting Tuesday in Cville that affected many. I'm probably on the 2nd redback so I wasn't affected.
