| Telus High Speed Extreme speeds
Hi, I'm in Vancouver.
I recently upgraded from Telus Enhanced to Extreme plan.
When I do a speed test, I usually get over 5 mbit down (6 mbit plan), but tonight I can only seem to get 2.6 mbit down.
Is anyone else noticing their download rate maxing out at half the available speed? |

My speed drops to 3 meg after a month or so , but then if I
power down the modem it comes back up to 5.3 Meg |

Quite consistent speeds over here (East Van).
Speakeasy - Seattle test:
Download Speed: 5306 kbps (663.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 870 kbps (108.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

DSL line speeds degrade over time, it also depends if your copper pair is in good condition and how long the bridge tap is that could be causing signal loss. |
