| Blog hosting with my own domain
Hi,
I'd like to setup a blog with my own domain Eg: www.myname.com, but would like to use some other free hosting service to host it all. Is this possible?
There are places that do it for free, but that means you get something like //myname.blogger.com Can I have www.myname.com and still have my blog hosted for free?
Thanks |

| Right now I have domain, but no hosting. I don't want to pay for hosting. I'd like to use my domain, but keep the hosting free (like blogger etc. But blogger makes you use //myname.blogger.com). I'd like to use www.myname.com but keep the hosting free. Is this possible? P.S. I've never heard of this cpanel host stuff before |

| reply to Nordy Another option:
Depending on where you bought your domain, you can setup "frame forwarding" to forward the domain to your blogger.com blog. Your domain will remain in the Address Bar, but website content will be your blogger.com blog.
Most registrants offer this as a standard free service. If yours doesn't, you can use: Zoneedit.com and use their frame forwarding. There's no cost for zoneedit.com up to 5 domains.
I hope that helps. |

| said by Nordy :Mine is at godaddy.com I recently set up a customer with a domain at GoDaddy that forwards to his blogger account. It is seamless, his domain remains in the address bar. | reply to Nordy said by Nordy blogger makes you use //myname.blogger.com). I'd like to use www.myname.com but keep the hosting free. Blogger supports custom domains. It's in blogger settings somewhere. It's been awhile since I've used Blogger, but when I was using it I had my own domain working with it. |
