Depending on which model you have the link below may be of some help. Be advised that you will lose any settings and all recorded programs on the DVR hard drive. Also I'm not responsible if your Motorola unit decides to blow up. However if you have this exact model the solution could resolve any issues your seeing.

You should not have to reset the box. Remember, the box is authorized from the Head end for being a DVR, and it may be something that has to be done from the office, not something that the Leasor can do.

With that reply we could in fact take this thread way off topic. But myself and others have found that the gremlins within that exact model can be purged many times by using the method above. It has saved me the time and aggravation of a service call at least once. What may or may not be the case of course I'm not aware. In regards to what may or may not be set on the other end. What I can not argue about is a thing called results. I've seen what has helped customers in the past. Thus the reason I offered my suggestion.
