Re: Primus

Just an FYI;

Their internet service is great, me and my spouse were happily using them for years, but we had a wonky setup in the house, and had two landlines. We were going to get rid of the landline the primus service was on and move it to the other landline we were keeping, the change over process was awful.

So I would say if you're competent with the internet and aren't going to be doing much that requires customer service, you would be fine.

I'm currently happy with Acanac.

Hey, I switched to the Primus bundle a few months ago. I have to admit their customer service is not very good, you're better off sending them support ticket (via their website), else you'll have to wait a long time. You also have to make sure that when sending a ticket you show that you know your stuff, else a "Primus agent" will call you and tell you to delete your IE's/Firefox' cache or reset your modem... I've had quite a hard time dealing with them.

However, I live close to one of the DSLAM and I get about 3.5Mbps down/700Kbps (No caps either) up which is pretty decent for the price i'm paying.

Before I switched to Primus, I was will Bell Sympatico and their customer service wasn't any better, maybe worse... We were their client for 6+ years and they gave us a higher price fee per month and restrictions when we had to renew our contract..

All in all, call Primus to check if you live close to one of their DSLAM!

That is probably the best advise for the op.
