Residential services have a dynamic IP address.
You mention resetting your DSL modem to get a new IP, and I'm curious as to why you'd need to do this.
As far as the 15-day wait to be installed, you stated you're getting phone service, and I know it takes a certain number of days to get a phone number up and going that has nothing to do with Suddenlink, but I'm not sure on the exact number of days. It also depends on whether you're porting a number (keeping your old number) or getting a native number (getting a new number).
Regarding the internet speed you'll be getting, you would need to ask a rep what the actual name of the data tier is that you'll be getting, and they should be able to tell you the speed of that specific tier. In Tyler, the download speed tiers are are 1 Mbps (Value), 8 Mbps (Preferred), and 10 Mbps (Premier). |
