Hi Everybody !
Yesterday over 60 earthquakes in less than 24 hrs rattled a small town in the south of Chile. (Chaiten Town, Pop. 6000 people)
According to the tv news most tremors were of 4 to 5 in the richter scale, but enough to make most people down south nervous. But the worst was yet to come  , last night at about midnight a volcano erupted about 6 miles east of Chaiten town!  thank god noone died. Navy, army and Air force are right now evacuating most of the town, so far about 1500 people left the town already. To make matters worse, there are no roads in or out of that town, only by sea. (too many ashes from the volcano to make an air evacuation)

I live about 500 miles north from there so I`m in no danger at all.
