If my DSL line is dedicated only to my modem, and there are no phones at all on the line. Do I need to use the filter to split the signal to the modem, or can i just run it straight. |

| I tried putting the filter in line to see if it made any change to anything. All I saw was my SNR drop from 13 to 12. Att stayed at 26. |

In short. No phones or other telephonic devices, you don't need a filter. |
