Sure (10kb worth, anyway). If it's a site I'm visiting on a one-shot basis, negatory. But sites like YouTube, etc., that I'm at fairly regularly I allow.
That prevents the annoyance of being asked at every video, and besides, I go to that 'sys' folder every week or two and clean 'em all out and start over.
Keeps me from getting that 'not-so-fresh' feeling. ;)

Flash is a POS-- but it's not such a POS that I feel it necessary to ban it from my computer. I like watching videos online. :)
It would be nice if sites could use some other format (and/or provide generally better quality), but they don't. Therefore . . . .

Yeah it's always checked. As I mentioned in my post to Abie, the new CCleaner version still refuses to show Flash in the applications window (although it does show it as a removable program in Tools/Uninstall). :uhh: I may have to add Flash to winapp2.ini which seems totally weird.

This has got to be one of the more ill-informed posts about privacy/spyware I have ever seen. It does, however, point out the unwarranted fear that is generated when users with little or no understanding begin looking around their computers at application and/or system files they really have no business looking at. Files of these kind are created and maintained for the benefit of the user by making the application more efficient or user friendly. Think of them as .ini files (for the most part a settings file from a bygone era of Windows). They maintain information from session to session on what your preferences are for the application. They are not there for the purpose of "keeping tabs" on the user. If anything, one could say they are there so the user can "keep tabs" on himself.

Do not know who told you that but that is wrong unless you want different sites to use flash differently. I set it once and that is it.

Sure you can uninstall it.
You're speaking of the IE ActiveX browser helper, if I'm not mistaken?
It's listed in A/R Programs. You can uninstall it there. Or simply delete the file and its Registry entries, or run the Flash uninstaller available for download from Adobe/Macromedia.
