Not with that combination at all, however, very similar on an older notebook I used to have in work. Very similar situation with a Toshiba laptop, equipped with a Netgear wifi card. No rhyme or reason, I could run the card in another lappy and not replicate the problem, and I could occasionally get it to run right in my notebook, but it would always be "quirky".

Then is gave up and used an older USB wifi connecter I had laying around...no problems!

Sometimes, it just doesn't pay to fight city Hall, you know? If you can still return the card, I would jsut try a different one, or even just go to a USB wireless connector.
