KnownHost cpanel? A rant of sorts I guess

I had read some good reviews here regarding KnownHost so I went ahead and bought a webhosting package through them. I am however now wondering if I made the right decision. Although their cpanel looks the same as other hosts I have used, it seems to work differently. For instance- editing a file seems to be more of a pain than what I have been used to.

None of their Fantastico de Luxe services software are available and I can't get the edit file manager to recognize any of my psd graphics so I will have to change them all over to gifs.

Maybe it is just me though that doesn't like their cpanel...

Often errors occur within cpanel if the installation has errors. If you contact your host, they should be able to restore the cpanel installation and clear up your problems. If not, take advantage of any money back guarantee and find yourself a better host.

good luck with your decision.

Thank you for the suggestion I think a cpanel installation was the problem. It is now corrected.

Just still not sure if I like how the editing of files works.. may just have to keep updating offline copies and uploading new ones for now

Yeah if you are unfamiliar with an FTP client, cPanel does a good job. If you do use an FTP client, there is nothing easier.

cPanel File Management is good though when your on another computer and you need to make a quick change.
