 [OOL] Anyone getting slow speeds?

Here in 06830 It's pretty bad... last night it was ok and on Thursday I had no issues.

Most pages load slow or just time out.

this is a shame I have almost been 24hr in not having internet connection and my voip service won't dial out because of all the packet loss and I can't get a call.

Best to reach out to tech support through whatever method of contact you can. That is, assuming you've tried all the normal things. You're an old hand so you know the old reboot trick, checking your fittings, trying a direct line to your drop, etc.

can't call if I can't get internet.. I can only get cellphone service outside and the pc is in the back room.. I never would of thought a data plan on tmobile would be more reliable then OOL.. its to the point now where I don't know if I should switch back to normal phone service..

the funny thing is uploads speeds are untouched but no computers work on websites

Speeds are back up still a little bit of packet loss but not as bad as it was for those two days.

Please post to the private OOL forum and a tech will be happy to help you. Please include your account number, modem mac address, contact number and best time to call you. For the time being, in order to try to get both your phone and internet working, please connect your modem directly to the main coaxial line (coming from the pole outside) in order to bypass any splitters. If you are then not experiencing packet loss or downtime, the splitter may be no good.

i have ool in my other house in great neck and there are problems all the time.

my roadrunner in queens is fine

On the other hand, my sister is in Brooklyn and has RR, she has problems all the time and my OOL is fine. Go figure.
