Re: Let's keep all DOCSIS 3.0 Discussion in this thread, please

Rick you are correct. 10/21/08 is the roll out for NNE. 6/1 downloaders will be doubled to 12/2. all 8/2 downloaders will be 16/2 for free.

The 22/5 will be 62.95
The 50/10 will be 139.95
For me $62.95 for 22/5 service sounds very reasonable. How bout it dadio? Guess some of us gotta wait for the DOCSIS rollouts to occur.

Seeing if I can work in another $10 - and the cost of a new modem... 5mbps upload would be a blessing!

But would I get the new speed Tier?
Not 50 mb down.

You'll need a channel bonding modem for that.

Now that it is the fourth quarter and over the last couple of months there have been, less than popular, announcements, it would be nice if they would at least announce the initial markets. Would help to balance things out a bit in my opinion.

I doubt they would announce the territories that will be getting Extreme. They never announced when Blast was being launched in each area.

Take this with a grain of salt, but a CSR just told me that November 1st for NNJ for the new speeds.

NNE = Ma, Nh, VT, CT (Three Rivers?) (ME?)

for the new speed tiers (both 22 "ULTRA" and the 50 "EXTREME") it is a separate modem from the EMTA.

Hey guys I can confirm what is being said

A few other markets I noticed as roll outs (no dates) were Seattle, Philly and previously mentioned New England.

The 20 / 5 tier will require a D3 modem and the modems used will be Cisco DPC3000's
