Re: Let's keep all DOCSIS 3.0 Discussion in this thread, please said by mustang50:To those in Michigan....I'm still hearing 2010 B4 we get DOCSIS 3.0.. They are doing the digital transition first.. If that's true, dang, usually we stay about even with Chicago in terms of offerings. Now we are really lagging behind...both with HD and Docsis 3.0.
Sad... |

Re: DOCSIS 3.0 Available in much of Northern Virginia Can any Comcast Techs get back to me and see if my Area is compatible? I am about to move and basically I am moving down the street, but if it takes a tech trip to obtain D3 equipment then might as well do it now. Otherwise I will not bother transfering the service.
The Comcast website still says COMING SOON but I am in Alexandria, VA and moving to Alexandria, VA and from what people are saying in the post, I will need to contact the tech and have it setup by them.
I can provide the modem MAC addy for a correct account lookup and system check. |

Re: DOCSIS 3.0 Available in much of Northern Virginia Try asking your question in the Comcast Direct Forum. |

Birolo join:2005-04-24 Woodstock, GA | Ok, as of today my speeds look ok now, down and up (using a router). I did not see any changes in modem, QAM for uploads still showing 16.

 | is that 50/10 or 22/5? You should be getting slightly higher upstream (during off peak, which this test is not) if you are on the Extreme tier. |
|
1 edit | The upstream results from the speedtest Atlanta server rarely go above 10 megs for me. But the Comcast speed test is usually around 10.2. I have the 50/10 tier.

Re: Let's keep all DOCSIS 3.0 Discussion in this thread, please Comcast was down for HSI, and VOIP in WB, MI for about 2 hours tonight, I called up and found out they where replacing the lines to new fiber lines to the amp I guess. He said this was in preperation for some new HD channels I guess and Docsis 3.0.
So this is good news. He also mentioned Detroit area had one of the oldest lines, so they are replacing them now lolol. |

Re: DOCSIS 3.0 Available in much of Northern Virginia As sorto says, the Direct Forum can assist, or you can call Manassas at 703-730-2225, and anyone in the sales or service departments can pull up your account to verify if it's available to you. Might want to have them check both addresses, of course |

1 edit | plug it in then call comcast. they will ask for the MAC, and then it will work
Or, to reduce comcasts costs, you can try to access the internet, you wont be able to and then follow the onscreen instructions |
