Not showing it live for 93612 on the website. Is it live for all of the No?

Comcast chat is telling me it's available in The No (Fresno).

I'm working out how to get a modem now...

Ugh I am going to try again in the morning to get an english rep. They say we have it, and it is available. But she is telling me it's $20 more a month for the Ultra tier over my Blast! tier, which isn't making any sense. The e-mail I got a few months ago said the upgrade was free?!?1

@comcast.net
ya it was saying i can get it as well, but fastest fast is saying it not here... lol...

Did they really say the upgrade is free? That means I should get it free? I was told ultra is like around 10 bucks more then I'm paying now.

I have a question when the d3 tiers are launched 22 and 50mbps. will the people on 12 and 16 tiers get better bandwidth because some customers will upgrade to tiers with multiple channels.

If you have one other comcast service and you pay $62.95 for BLAST,then when D3 comes to your area you should be upgraded to the ultra tier for free.

Well if your worried about better bandwidth, then get a D3 modem, and when or if D3 is already in your area you should get bonded downstream channels. which will balance your downstream speeds over a few channels, and you will not have really any slowdowns, during peak hours.

but won't people on one downstream channel be almost as good as getting a D3 modem because some people are using bonded channels.

It might but then it might not. Because then if your on that one channel that there pulling the most off of then you will still see the slowdowns. Another thing withen the next 2 years most of all cable company's providing D3 service will be making all there customers move to D3 modems to continue using there service.

in the next few years yes, because they all will be working to make everyone use bonded channels to help stop all slowdowns, and etc. Even if your on there lower tiers. I can almost put money on it that anyone in a D3 area for comcast even on the lower speed tiers, if they have a D3 modem there atleast bonding 2 downstream channels.

I just spoke with a rep. She told me that they are currently working on making it available to my area and that it showing the docsis 3 speeds on my address was just a glitch. She said they would email me as soon as it's available but couldn't give a time frame.

So I guess since Comcast is planning on upgrading their whole footprint this could be either before the end of this year or sometime next year. But seeing the speeds listed on my address tells me they must be setting up the billing system for it and preparing a launch sometime soon.

I'm in the 95835 area of Sac.

I'm near Sacramento (95616), I just called and they said the Ultra tier is not available in my area also. But comcast.com says that it is available, I guess that's just a mistake.

I just realized that comcast isn't charging me for the rental modem. So if I did upgrade to the Ultra tier, I would have to exchange my modem for a D3 compatible one and they would probably start charging me $5 a month in addition to the $10 more a month for the Ultra.
