| CPU Load > 60%
Hi,
I'm having a CPU load of over 60% (with a P4 3.06HT) when loading this page in FX 3.0 beta5 /IE7 /Opera 9.2 :
»wetter.rtl.de/deutschland/uebers···r=0A48A5
What I'm wondering is if it's just me or do you guys get the same strain on resources with your PC?
PS: I have flash V9.0 r124 installed. |

| Hi Lanik,
I suppose WFM means "works for me". It's working for me too, but I have that abnormal CPU spike, which I think is due to Flash.
I have now installed the same Minefield build as you have but the result is the same.
How much CPU usage do you have on that page?
Greetings,

| I noticed a CPU spike on that site also using Fx v3pre (Minefield).
I know there is abug filed at Bugzilla for flash causing hign memory usage but do not have the address to it so you will have to look for it. -- "Why answer any questions when you can pull a MuMu"? - unknown |

thanks for your replies. The CPU load seems unrelated to Firefox on my machine. I'm getting the 60% load with IE & Opera, too.

Should be enough to handle some flash, or? |

| reply to upieper What I'm wondering is if it's just me or do you guys get the same strain on resources with your PC? No strain here. But then I am using "noscript" and "flashblock", so those flash applets don't run unless I manually enable them.
Running a bunch of concurrent flash applets can eat cpu cycles. I recommend flashblock. -- AT&T dsl; Westell 327w modem/router; SuSE 10.1; firefox 2.0.0.14 |

| reply to upieper It went upto 30% max for me, and when sitting idle without moving mouse it stays around 15-20 or so over both cores. Nothing seems unusual considering there is flash on the site.

| reply to upieper The new V10 flash seems to be much better performance wise:

That will probably fix my problem (hopefully) |
