I have the same printing problem with a HP2575. THe problem occurs with both AVG 7 and AVG 8 so I still think the route of the problem is with HP drivers or IE 7. |

As an aside, I was using AVG 8.0 on my home computer but found it caused Windows Explorer to lockup for long periods of time and caused some programs to take several minutes to load. Upon removal, everything returned to normal, upon reinstall, it all went to heck, uninstall, back to normal.

 Problem solved - AVG is the cause of the printing issues. I have just uninstalled version 8 and am now using a product provided by my ISP which is also free. It a shame as AVG has been a good product. |

Vista Home Premium.
I just left AVG V8, switched to AVAST, and what do you know, I can print in IE7 Protected Mode Again!!!
Came here to indicate that, and find the answer waiting here for me!!

| Have exactly the same problem with Vista SP1 and Kaspersky KAV2009.
KAV7 was fine.
The brand new KAV2009 stops printing only from within IE7.
Uninstall it and it all works again.
Obviously these companies have both screwed something up in exactly the same way. |
