Re: 3web Cable Slow Today?

Okay, I'm getting 1.8 / 440 now.

Didn't know they were doing maintenance... where'd you see this? At the 3web account page thingy?

Cromsby: No, they don't throttle at all. Overall, I'd rate the service A- / A... I just wish the upload speeds were better.

@3web.net

That's awesome. I look forward to this "maintenance" being completed. I'm in Scarborough as well, btw.

Like I said, for the first 2 days the speeds were TWICE what I was getting with Rogers.

On the other hand, Rogers was ALWAYS consistent @ 1 mbps. I've found 3web to be all over the place and capping me @ 30 kbps for downloads the past few days (which really sucks hard).

I had an IP but couldn't get on internet,when I called Tech support I got instead of the standard "There are no problems reported on the network", there was a message about maintenance

Ahh okay, I should really keep their tech-support number handy. Thanks.

I noticed my voice terminal receiving info the other night, maybe they are working on networks or something?

I have noticed over the past couple of weeks that I no longer get my 9500+ D/L speeds I was consistantly getting, now it seems like this is the best I can do?

Maybe heavier network load, or 'cause students are home etc???
