Help with EPS format logo

If anyone knows adobe illustrator well I could use a hand with a logo. I have the logo but only in a .gif file. I want to have it blown up big and put on my truck, but the guy requires it in EPS format.

It's a relatively simple logo as you can see, two ovals with some straight lines. I went to my father-in-law's house to play with his copy of illustrator for about 20-30 mins, and I got about 1/4 done, but not done right because I didn't know what I was doing. I bet I could've done it in 5 mins if I knew what I was doing.

If anyone has a few mins to spare, I'd appreciate it. IM me if you need my contact details.

Thanks,
Roger

Wow, that was quick. Thanks a lot, but I'm not sure it's what I need though? The idea is that it becomes scalable and you can zoom way in without getting a jagged edge. I was of the understanding you had to kind of lassoo the thing or something to get a shape the kind of way fonts work? You can zoom in on a font without loosing resolution. That kind of thing?

Thanks,
Roger

That's fantastic... I'm only opening it on my linux laptop, so I can't see it all properly, but when I zoom in it looks good. Will take it to the guy tomorrow. Thanks a lot for your help.

Cheers,
Roger

BTW, for future use, check out Inkscape. It's available for Windows and Linux and can trace some images and turn them into vector drawings (like EPS files).

OK, I'll ask... what does the logo represent? Why don't you have a web URL on the truck?

I gave them a free install It would've normally been about $175 and my installs are $200 so we did a deal.

The logo says G5 Internet, LLC. Didn't put a URL because I was trying to keep it simple. I might get a personalized license plate which says g5inet and add my own dot for g5i.net

Thanks,
Roger

Put the URL in red on the front fenders...

Balance, ya know.
