| New forum request - Fairpoint
For those who don't know this is the company that Verizon sold Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire to.
We are starting to see more requests for info from Fairpoint users being posted in the VZ forums.
It may seem early at this point to start a new forum for them but i believe it will be self promoting as more people look for info on them. |

| At this point, I don't know if there is enough traffic in that forum to make it a full-fledge forum. I could see doing that if the Fairpoint Forum gets really busy. But that's not up to me to decide - The higher-ups make that decision.

There are a few other providers in the alphabetical list that probably ought to be looked at first as full-fledge forums --- Acanac, Metrocast, and Speed Factory (if they stick around), maybe a few others. While it doesn't look from the alphabetical forum listings that Fairpoint warrants a forum, that's a bit deceptive because many of the Fairpoint posts are not appearing there, they're appearing in (predominantly) the Verizon forums.

That amount of posting wouldn't have been noticed if you hadn't started this thread (so thank you). I'd say if that level of posting keeps up or increases there will probably be a forum for it fairly soon.

I live in NH so have been affected by the transfer from Verizon to FairPoint.
Transfer is far from complete but it will probably be a good idea to create a "real" FairPoint forum. I never knew one existed until I read sashwa post.
Currently Billing is coming on FairPoint Letterhead.
I just called billing about annual contract that is also FairPoint.
Verizon On-line page still recognizes me but does not look like I can change anything.
Lastly have not converted From Verizon to FairPoint domain name yet.

Kind of disappointed at lack of new posts. Perhaps it will take a while for folks to notice the new forum.
