| Current SB5100 Bios revision.....
Hi,
Quick question, what is the current firmware revision from Comcast for the Motorola surfboard 5100?
Mine is as follows:
Software Version: SB5100-2.3.2.5-SCM01-NOSH Hardware Version: 3 MIB Version: II GUI Version: 1.0 VxWorks Version: 5.4
This revision seems to have stopped displaying the current config file downloaded when the modem was reset. Its been this way for a few months.
Thanks! |

As a matter of fact, I have had the same firmware version for 3 years now, and the config file data was always listed in the error log as long as the log didn't reach its entry limit.
But if it did, I could simply reset the modem to its default configuration and then re-boot it, and the config file data would be listed once again.
My point is that for the last few months, that data is no longer listed in the log, and I'm using the same method as before.
There has been no firmware upgrade here. I'm still at 2.3.2.5.... |

| reply to Overtkill Do you get errors like:
3-Critical D005.0 TFTP failed - request sent - No Response
Sometimes things like this may be a good thing. Check your download speeds... if they are really fast. Leave it alone.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. |

I don't believe the OP was suggesting that they were having any connectivity issues, only that they would like to still be able to see the config file listed in the log, as would I also. I think that the availability of this information is helpful to an end user. |

It would seem that they have inhibited the display of this info using a method other than via the firmware load.. |
