There is also a lot of Philanthropic foundation money being spent around town, so you might want to look into the not for profit organization sector for internships.

Of course anything related to Health care and Geriatric care services are expanding, however it's hard to get anything entry level without some specialized training or certification (mostly due to liability insurance issues) so if you look at the Social Services and Home Care parts of health care, you may find opportunities with low or no requirements.

I've been looking for something the last few months and it is almost impossible. I though I actually found something a few weeks ago and the guy changed his story.. I swear everyone is almost full of crap. I guess you can blame the economy... Also it seems these days all "entry level" jobs require experience.. I went into a bakery just to see how much the pay was, and they told me they were only hiring people with experience.. Don't most teenagers work in the bakery for a few years and move on. Who actually would go from bakery to bakery. It just didn't make sense to me.

So I figured I may as well get some certifications this summer to "look good on paper".
